Laure
"The day i decided to go to Koh Rong Samloem i though about taking with me some usefull things for the school but with the weight restriction i couldn't aford it,so i send an e-mail to friends and family and ask them if they had any clothes to give me for the childrens of Koh Rong.
Here i go:20kg of clothes.
One of these beautiful day of the island the chief of the village came to my bungalow with Samnang,we had a look at the clothes and then accord to give them the morning after at school.
We had breakfast, and went way to school, all the volunteers wanted to participate this moment.
On the way the children were passing around:"Hello Laure""good morning""how are you""what is your name? They like so much asking you!they are so sweet always with a large smile on their face ,like the villagers, generous and beautiful persons.
We first went to the classroom of the younger one,and began the teacher ,the chief ,Samnang and i to check the sizes of clothes on the childrens, one by one,and make sure everybody had something. Some seems like a litlle bit impressed ,but you can be sure i was more than them,i was feeling so little,a big lesson of humility, others looked really happy. Then we went to the other classroom to do the same, one by one cheking sizes, when they had all a new clothe on they could get back to sit satisfied.
While this, some mothers with their babies and childrens of the other village were entering in the classroom and calling me to have something to and were getting every time closer around me.I was preocupated that everybody could have something. Then i realize that it's really far to be enough and think how to do more for the village, the school, the clinic.I still thinking about it from so far am i.
My stay in the Island was really too short but so intensive, was just feeling in the right place, learning from people and sharing.I want to thanks another time everybody there and say how wonderful the project in Koh Rong Samloem is going".
