Its been a long time since the last major updates on the website, so we will try to give a brief summary here as we start to update the website with this last years work and achievements.
When we first started the project the main focus was protection of the seahorse breeding grounds, the protection of the community and the implementing of the intitial projects.
With the seahorse breeding grounds protected and the communities livelihoods increasing due to both an increase in marine resources and the extra income generated from the increased numbers of volunteers. We are now beginning to diversify into other areas whilst maintaining the original projects.
Over the past few months we have started to address many issues within the community. Below are some of the new and existing projects that we need assistance in:
1. Waste-management
2. Health Care
3. Teaching
4. Seahorse, reef and Benthic surveys
5. Terrestrial (jungle) surveys
6. Artificial Reef project
Over the next few months we will be updating the website to show how these projects are and have been implemented and the beneficial effects they are having.
